Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Slippery Salmon Events and Hire.
These terms and conditions govern the hire of equipment/services/sales from our company.
By placing a booking, paying a deposit or accepting delivery of any equipment, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1: Definitions-
1.1: "Client" means the individual, business, organization or other person entering into an agreement for Hire/service or sale.
1.2: "Company" means Slippery Salmon Events & Hire.
1.3: "Equipment" means any claw machine, arcade machine, accessories, cables, stands, extension leads, decorations, props, signage, prizes, sundries, or any other items supplies by the Company.
1.4: "Manned" hire means Equipment supplied together with a representative of the company who will supervise or operate the equipment throughout the agreed hire period.
1.5: "Unmanned" hire means equipment supplied without a company representative.
The client is responsible for supervising, operating and safeguarding the equipment throughout the hire period.
1.6: "Filling" means the toys, prizes or other items supplied for use within the equipment.
1.7: "Hire period" means the period of time agreed between the client and the company.
Commencing upon delivery, and ending when the equipment is collected by the company.
2: Bookings-
2.1: All equipment remains the sole property of the company at all times.
2.2: A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued by the company.
2.3: By placing a booking via our website, telephone, email, social media or any other communication method.
The client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
2.4: The company reserves the right to refuse any booking at its discretion.
2.5: The company reserves the right to substitute equipment with equipment of and equivalent specification where necessary due to damage, maintenance or circumstances beyond its control.
3: Prices, deposits and payments-
3.1: A minimum deposit of 25% is required to secure all bookings unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.2: Deposits are non-refundable except where the company cancels the booking.
3.3: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than seven days (7 Days) before the event unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.
3.4: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of any deposit paid.
3.5: Approved customers shall pay invoices within 30 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.6: The company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 2% above the Bank of England base rate together with any reasonable debt recovery costs.
3.7: All advertised prices are subject to change until a booking has been confirmed.
4: Fillings (Prizes)-
4.1: Prize fillings must be selected and agreed at the time of the booking unless otherwise approved by the company.
4.2: Once ordered, Filling is non-Refundable as stock is purchased specifically for each booking.
4.3: Custom branded filling or bespoke orders are non-refundable once production or ordering has commenced.
4.4: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any unused filling/stock remains property of the company.
4.5: Where clients supply their own filling, the company accepts no responsibility for any loss, harm or damage to or by the items/filling.
5: Delivery and instillation-
5.1: Equipment will be installed in one agreed location, Once installed Equipment must not be moved without agreement and supervision from the company.
5.2: The client responsible for ensuring suitable access for delivery.
5.3: Any restrictions, stairs, narrow doorways, lifts, loading limitations or parking restrictions must be disclosed before booking.
5.4: if delivery cannot be completed because access information was not provided, or is inaccurate, the full hire charge remains payable.
